‘Something’s just not connecting…’: Scarlett Moffatt reveals behind-the-scenes struggle in Strictly Christmas rehearsals despite her dance background — as the TV favourite admits her body ‘won’t do what my brain tells it to’ in a brutally honest confession… - suong
SCARLETT Moffatt might have a dance background – but her body isn’t doing what her brain tells it to do in Strictly rehearsals.
The popular TV star, 35, was the first celeb to be announced for this year’s festive special after years of being linked to the
She competed in national dance
Despite being an early favourite, Scarlett insists she hasn’t picked up where she left off all those years ago.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun, she said: “It’s funny because I think in my brain, ‘oh yeah, that’s what I’m doing’. But then I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror and I’m like, ‘oh, something’s not connected’.
“Because in my head I’m doing the moves that he’s saying. But then I look in the mirror and I’m like, ‘oh, that isn’t what I thought I would look like doing that’.
“I’m just having fun, and I think that’s the main thing, especially for the Strictly Christmas special. It’s the sheer joy of it.”
Last October, Scarlett returned to a competitive ballroom for the first time in 15 years at
The I’m A Celeb legend gave birth to son Jude by C-section in 2023 and Scarlett told fans she’d “never been so nervous but so proud of myself” after returning to her childhood hobby.
If anyone can rebuild that youthful talent to its former glory, it’s Italian dancer Vito Coppola.
The Strictly star, 33, has won the Glitterball with Ellie Leach and made the Strictly final on two other occasions. He also won the Italian version of the show in his only series on the show.
Scarlett admits she was desperately hoping to be paired with him, and she was ecstatic when she got her wish, telling us “there’s something about the way that he dances and his
She continued: “He’s the person that I really wanted and I kept saying it in the hopes that I was manifesting it.
“But then I thought ‘what happens if I don’t?’ And then there comes the feeling of disappointment.
“But when I first went to rehearsals and Vito walked around the corner trying to hide behind a Christmas tree, I was just so excited. Rehearsals have been going amazing because we just laugh from start to finish.
“I’m so grateful he’s reignited the passion inside of us of why I love dance.”
Apologising for using a cliche, Scarlett said she “feels like she’s already won”, regardless of how the competition pans out.
She’s currently balancing her Strictly stint with rehearsing for panto in Northwich as the Spirit of the Ring in Aladdin.
Though she’s three hours from home, her fiancé Scott and son Jude will be watching her on stage.
Scarlett’s a Christmas superfan through and through, joking she was born to be an elf.

Scarlett is one of them.
She said: “I am actually Chief Christmas Officer in my whole family, not even in my house. I think it’s that eldest granddaughter, eldest daughter thing where we’re like the doers of Christmas.
“I enjoy a list, I enjoy all the shopping and wrapping. I used to think as a kid that the magic sort of just happened and now I realise it’s whoever the Chief Christmas Officer is and it’s normally, not to stereotype, the mothers of the group.”

‘She deserves to be pampered again…’: Kelly Brook’s husband Jeremy Parisi reveals the ‘huge surprise’ waiting for his wife after her jungle exit… as he shares the sweet plans he’s been quietly preparing throughout her time in camp… - suong

KELLY Brook may be disappointed she is the latest campmate voted out of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! but she’s certainly going to enjoy her homecoming.
Husband Jeremy Parisi says there’ll be a pampering paradise waiting for her when they get home.
Kelly famously forgot her own birthday while in the jungle – something that tickled her husband.
He said: “I found it hilarious that Kelly forgot her birthday in camp but I’d rather that than her feeling homesick for it.
“Kelly’s birthday is such a special day for us and one we always spend together so I’m glad she was too preoccupied to notice.”
But he hasn’t forgotten and a delayed celebration is already in the works.
Italian hunk Jeremy, 40, said: “I’ve been thinking of how I can plan a belated birthday surprise and seeing her in camp doing all of those trials I think she could do with a spa day.
“A nice massage, a facial and a chance to have her hair and nails done will be heaven for her.
“I think she will enjoy being pampered and feeling like herself again.”
Jeremy soaked up every moment in Australia as he waited for the model-turned-presenter to leave the jungle.
The couple, who wed in 2022 in Italy, were reunited on the famous bridge last night.
Kelly shed her jungle uniform and today posed for glowing snaps with Jeremy as they kissed in the grounds of the Marriott hotel in Surfers Paradise.
“It’s amazing to be in Australia,” Jeremy continued, praising the show’s crew for their top-tier hospitality.
“The I’m A Celebrity production team are doing an incredible job looking after all the friends and family.”
Jeremy also gave a glimpse of the atmosphere behind the scenes and admitted the supporters’ camp has even settled into its own routine.
“We are all starting to get into a nice routine where we head to camp each day to watch the show and listen to music in the car on the way there,” he explained.
“It’s such a great atmosphere and nice that we can all relate to one another as we watch our loved ones in camp.”
SWEET SAGA
Kelly was the fourth celeb to leave the jungle on last night’s show.
After hosts Ant and Dec told Kelly she had been evicted, she hugged her campmates – and then immediately dropped the milk bottle bombshell before leaving.
She told the group: “There was more than ten milk bottles!” after eating the treats won during a task.
She made the decision following the contraband drama – when ex-Lioness Alex Scott was caught using salt and pepper sachets she had sneaked in to season food.
Actress Shona McGarty, 34, was then caught using butter that Ginge, 24, had left in the site’s food trunk to put over her rice and beans.
Speaking to The Sun after leaving the jungle, 46-year-old Kelly told The Sun: “People weren’t sharing the contraband!
“That butter should have gone into a nice bowl of rice and been shared out between everybody, and it didn’t – Shona ate the lot.
“So the minute she ate the lot, I was like, right – every man for himself.”
