‘Home is where the heart is…’: I’m A Celeb’s Alex Scott reunites with Jess Glynne after heartbreaking family news — as the couple share a tender moment together following her early exit from the jungle… - suong
I’M A Celebrity star Alex Scott has reunited with her girlfriend Jess Glynne after revealing heartbreaking family news.
The former footballer, 41, is missing the series finale and wrap party after flying home early because her pop star partner’s mum Alexandra suffered a stroke and needed surgery.
Jess didn’t meet Alex on the jungle bridge when she was evicted due to her mum’s condition and instead remained in the UK.
As soon as she left I’m A Celeb, Alex flew home to be with her beloved girlfriend.
Today the smitten couple revealed they were finally back together, as the pair reunited for a cosy coffee date.
Jess posted on her Instagram Story a photo of Alex with a red heart emoji.
Alex was all wrapped up warm as she sipped on her coffee.
On her own Insta Story, the former campmate posted a sweet snap of herself holding hands with Jess and wrote: “Home is where the heart is.”
‘I ALMOST QUIT THE SHOW’
Alex admitted she nearly quit the show ahead of her elimination on Friday night but stayed to honour her partner’s wish for her to see it through for Alexandra.
Taking to Instagram, the footy ace said: “The jungle was the most incredible special experience, I will never forget!!
“Thank you to my wonderful camp mates who supported me everyday & saw the real me, not an edited version. Thank you to ITV for even getting me through this process & getting me back to Jessica to be by her side during what is a difficult time [crying emoji].
“We have both seen all the love and support and it means the world. The universe spoke and its getting me home asap and I couldn’t be more grateful for that.”
JESS’S MUM’S STROKE
Jess’s mum Alexandra suffered a major stroke before Alex flew to Australia and required urgent brain surgery.
Alex told us she feared the situation had worsened when Rather Be singer Jess did not meet her on the jungle bridge after she was evicted.
Moments later, Jess spoke about her situation for the first time on social media.
She said the past few weeks have been a “really serious, life-altering time for my family”.
Jess added that she had to “stay close to home” and said of Alex: “I can’t wait to have her back by my side.”
Speaking on ITV2 spin-off show Unpacked, an emotional Alex said: “It’s been a hard couple of months.
“Obviously it’s such an opportunity to even be asked to come on the show.
“Jess was the first one… she was like, ‘I want you to go on the show and do it for my mum’.
“I knew there would be a chance she wouldn’t be at the end of the bridge.
“Straight away, when I walked over, I knew then things had got worse.
“I want to be here for the wrap party, but I have to get home straight away.
“She’s my Jessica, and I’m going home to be her rock, because she’s been my cheerleader all through this.
“My campmates knew what I was going through.
“I just thank everyone at ITV and my campmates because they’ve all shown me so much support.”
TOUGH TIME
Earlier, Football Focus presenter Alex broke down in tears as she told The Sun on Sunday: “It’s been a tough time for us and obviously her family, and it was a tough decision to come into the jungle.
“But then Jess never wanted me to step away from not doing it.
“I knew there was always a possibility of her not being across the bridge if her mum hadn’t got better, or if things had been getting worse, which they have been.
“But it was a big decision for me to not pass this opportunity and Jess was the one that pushed me to be here.”
Leva Bonaparte Addresses Rift With Venita Aspen After Being Labeled “Messy” tram

Leva Bonaparte is clapping back at claims of being “messy” after posting a photo of herself with former friend Venita Aspen on Instagram amid their feud.
After the Southern Charm cast member shared the image to promote not only the latest episode of the Bravo reality series, but also co-stars Naomie Olindo and Taylor Ann Green‘s then-upcoming appearances on Watch What Happens Live on Thursday night, she was met with a critical message from a fan.
“Whenever things get weird I can count on my girl [Naomie Olindo] to giggle with me! Also, she and [Taylor Ann Green] are on [Watch What Happens Live on Thursday] after the glamorous dog wedding on [Southern Charm on Bravo] at [Patricia Altschul‘s on Thursday] evening!” Leva had written on August 10.
But after seeing the pic, one particular person questioned Leva’s intentions for sharing it.
“Why post a picture with Venita [if] you no longer follow nor talk to her? Should’ve just posted a photo with just you and [Naomie]. This seems messy,” the person stated.
“Well, I had a friendship with her. I brought her on the show clearly, and had a love for her. But when people betray you, you can’t just pretend they didn’t exist in your heart once. If you think that’s messy you can. I don’t,” Leva replied.

As Southern Charm fans may recall, Leva made headlines at the end of last year when she unfollowed a number of cast members, including Venita, Craig Conover, Austen Kroll, and Madison LeCroy, after taping the season eight finale.
Months later, during an interview with Showbiz Cheat Sheet, Leva admitted it was a “heavy season” to film and said that by the end, she was so “stressed out” and “tired” that she wanted to take some time away from her co-stars.
“I was like, ‘I don’t want to see some of these faces for a while,'” she recalled. “It was maybe a little bit more severe than it needed to be, but I kind of am a little bit severe sometimes… It’s just I’m trying to protect my own energy or whatever. And some of them took it really personally.”
Also, during the interview, Leva hinted that despite Venita’s betrayal, she might be open to making amends.
“It’ll come in time because we have a lot of roots. There’s a lot of deep friendships there, which also equates to deep hurt,” she said. “People are like, ‘Oh, it seems like a flip flop.’ Some of us take time to get over stuff … There’s just so much history. I’ve known them for short of ten years, you know? So I’m sure we’ll eventually get over it.”
