Dani Dyer shares first glimpse of fractured ankle that forced her to quit Strictly as posts update on ’emotional week’ liennhi
DANI Dyer has shared the first glimpse of the fractured ankle that forced her to quit Strictly as she posted an update on her 'emotional week'.
The Love Island winner had been preparing to dance a Quickstep with pro-partner Nikita Kuzmin on Saturday's live show when she fell in rehearsals and fractured her ankle.

It meant she had to quit Strictly, and she was replaced at the eleventh hour by fellow former Islander-turned West End star, Amber Davies.
Amber and Nikita danced a Waltz on the first live show and finished third on the leaderboard, and a day later, Dani took to Instagram to share an update with fans about her emotional week.
She captioned her pictures: "It’s been a lazy.. emotional week.
"I was so excited for this side of the year but it really hasn’t ended the way I wanted it too.. taking everyday as it comes whilst my annoying foot gets better."
The first snap was of Dani in a comfy casual top, her hair loose around her shoulders and a pair of stylish glasses on her face.
She also shared pictures of the little luxuries she had around her to
Dani also shared the first glimpse of her left ankle propped up on a cushion, encased in black protective strapping with her perfectly pedicured toes sticking out.
She also shared a picture of her children playing with her toys, and husband Jarrod Bowen feeding one of their daughters.
Dani left Strictly on Tuesday, following the painful injury in training the previous Friday.
A "heartbroken" Dani confirmed the news with a statement, after being told by doctors that she'd be unable to dance.
It read: "I had a fall on Friday in rehearsals and landed funny.
"I thought I had rolled my foot but it swelled up badly over the weekend and after an MRI scan yesterday, it turns out I have fractured my ankle."
Dani continued: "Apparently doing the Quickstep on a fracture is not advisable and the doctors have said I am not allowed to dance, so I've had to pull out of the show.
"To say I'm heartbroken is the biggest understatement.

Kathy Hilton and Jennifer Tilly Unite for Project Angel Food, Raising an Incredible $950,000! trucc

“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Kathy Hilton is opening up her home for a good cause.
A dinner for 12 at Hilton’s estate went for $40,000 during the live auction at Project Angel Food’s Angel Awards Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday night.
Project Angel Food is a meal delivery organization for seriously ill residents throughout Los Angeles County
Two winning bids at $16,000 each won lunch with former “RHOBH” star Lisa Rinna at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
The first lot – two tickets to the “Wicked: For Good” world premiere in New York City in November along with roundtrip flights and hotel accommodations – sold for $13,000.
In total, the evening raised $950,000 for Project Angel Food, making it the most successful Angel Awards since 2019.
The event, which took place on the Paramount studio lot in Hollywood, honored longtime Project Angel Food supporter and volunteer Jennifer Tilly with the Angel Award. Cedars-Sinai was recognized with the Leadership in Love Angel Award, which was presented by Variety’s Marc Malkin and accepted by Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and Cedars-Sinai Health System CEO Peter L. Slavin, MD.
Tilly said she was accepting her award on behalf of the Project Angel Food staff and volunteers who work behind the scenes. She praised the drivers who deliver the meals. “I think emotional sustenance is just as important as sustenance you eat,” said Tilly, who was presented by Hilton.
Cedars-Sinai’s Slavin said, “We’re more than willing to accept this award, but [want] to thank our colleagues at Project Angel Food for everything they do – the heroic work they do – to meet the needs of thousands of people in this community every day, to make sure that they get the nutrition they need to be healthy and live wonderful lives.”
Loni Love, Caroline Rhea, “Wings” co-stars Steven Weber and Amy Yasbeck, Charo and Project Angel Food CEO Richard Ayoub also made on-stage appearances.
“What we learned this year is that fires can destroy buildings, but they can’t destroy the human spirit,” Ayoub said. “The federal government can cut our funding, but we won’t cut our services. Food is not an option. Compassion is not an option. Giving up is not an option. Project Angel Food brings out the best in Los Angeles and is where hope lives!”
The program kicked off with a three-song set by The Go-Go’s frontwoman Belinda Carlisle. Celebrity auctioneer Harry Santa-Olalla conducted the live auction. The guest list also included Cheryl Tiegs, Kirsten Vangsness, L.A. County Supervisor Lindsey Horvath, Michael Corbett, Mike Stoller, Shannon K and Stuart O’Keeffe.
