‘There are no walls to speak of…’: Strictly’s Craig Revel Horwood gives fans a tour of his jaw-dropping £1.8m Northampton mansion — complete with pool, bar and movie room — as he reveals dramatic renovation plans amid neighbour backlash and noise complaints… - suong
Strictly's Craig Revel Horwood has been showing off his incredible home complete with a pool as he continues the huge renovations of his £1.8m Northampton mansion.
The Strictly judge, 60, has sought planning permission to raise his back garden by building a terrace around the pool area at the property, while he has gutted the entire inside to make it the perfect living space.
The Strictly star bought the property in 2021 and previously discussed renovating the stunning abode.
In a new Instagram video on Sunday he walked through the house in his hard hat as he gave an update on progress.
As he walked through the kitchen and main living area he said: 'Hello and welcome to my beautiful home. There are no walls to speak of!
'This will be the kitchen, this will be the dining room and bar area. Then there will be a little movie room in there coming through to a little library and then there will be a new staircase.

'Here will be the living area with a little extension out to the pool which will be absolutely lovely. I'm super excited about the whole thing! It's gonna be great! I can't wait to move in but I think it might be a few more months.'
He penned in the caption of the post: 'My home renovations are finally at the end of the demolition stage and the reconstruction has well and truly begun.
'It is amazing to see it all coming to shape so I thought I would share with you all a little look at its current state of deconstruction.
'Thank you to the amazing people at AFD, @adam_knibb_architects and @cleo.dickson for all of your very appreciated hard work.'
It comes after last month Craig was said to be in a row with his neighbours as they claim there's 'excessive noise' at the countryside mansion.
He has sought planning permission to raise his back garden by building a terrace around the pool area, while other building work is ongoing.
However, he's been met with backlash from neighbours, who claim there's already 'excessive noise' coming from the pool parties he hosts at the pad.
Craig was also forced to call in the Environment Agency after he experienced flooding in his garden.

He added: 'This will be the kitchen, this will be the dining room and bar area. Then there will be a little movie room in there coming through to a little library and then there will be a new staircase'
It occurred when he started demolishing walls and digging foundations during previous renovation works.
As part of his new application, Craig also plans to carry out flood compensation works.
According to The Sun, one neighbour objected to the proposed works in a letter, which read: 'Without vegetation along their low wall, there is already excessive noise heard from their garden when they regularly entertain.
'The shape of the land with the trees along the river means residents can easily hear talking and noise from their gardens around the pool area.
'Raising the terrace area will exacerbate this if no trees or noise reduction is installed along the low walls by the gates.
'We object to the raising of the area unless some noise reduction can be installed along the boiler rooms walls and around where this raising will be.'
The neighbour added: 'If noise reduction, for example trees along their wall, can be put in then we don't object to this but the noise that comes from their garden is already quite substantial.

'And it will be accentuated with this area being raised due to their low walls and no vegetation along the walls to compensate, meaning that we will hear all noise from this area even more clearly.'
Council officials are due to make a decision on the planning application for the pool next month.
The Daily Mail contacted a representative for Craig for comment.
The Strictly star bought the property in 2021 and previously discussed renovating the stunning abode.
Speaking in 2023 about his move out of London, Craig said he was beginning to find life in the capital 'tiring' and was fed up of celeb spotters.
He wrote for the Daily Mail: 'In the early years of Strictly I could get around Camden pretty well unnoticed, but as the show grew I was finding it increasingly difficult to get from A to B without being recognised.
'Most people who approach me are really lovely and I love chatting to them. But when I am in a hurry, feeling ugly as hell, or just wanting to be another face in the crowd, it can get a bit much.
'I was working a lot at a theatre in Newbury, Berkshire, so it made sense for me to look around that area. I was also dating Damon Scott, the monkey-puppet boy from Britain's Got Talent, who lived nearby in Salisbury.'
Recalling when he first laid eyes on his home, Craig continued: 'There was a breathtaking view of what looked like an old-fashioned manor house (although it's only ten years old), standing in lush lawns and picturesque countryside.
'When I walked into the house, I was blown away. It wasn't long before I performed the biggest no-no in house viewing: mentally furnishing the rooms.
Seen with his architect earlier this year as they went through plans
'I imagined a white baby grand piano perfectly placed in front of the picture window and my Swarovski-encrusted Buddhas sitting happily on the Italian marble hearth.
'Not to mention my selection of white ceramic dancing pigs that had been looking for just such a generous mantel to high-step on.
'Next, I entered the room that is my measure of any home of worth: the dining room. It was filled with natural light and long enough to seat 20 people. Big tick there. The kitchen, meanwhile, was bigger than my whole terrace in Camden.
'I wasn't a fan of the decor. But the place had great bones and was crying out for some CRH flair. I knew I could turn it into something really A-MA-ZING.'
‘I felt like death…’: Brave Louise Thompson reflects on her darkest days after life-threatening health battle — as the Made in Chelsea star marks one year with no hospital dashes, celebrates her recovery and reveals the powerful lesson that saved her life… - suong

LOUISE Thompson has reflected on a life-changing year after a string of brutal health battles left her “feeling like death”.
The Made in Chelsea icon and influencer has openly spoken about her ongoing medical challenges, which last year included being rushed to hospital for emergency surgery.
The surgery came after she was fitted with a stoma bag in January 2024 after ongoing stomach issues.
That November, she started suffering excruciating pain in her abdomen, and went into septic shock after emergency surgery in yet another setback.
Thankfully, Louise was later released from hospital, and a year on she is marking the occasion by celebrating her body and her health.
In a photo of her having dinner with her long-term partner Ryan Libbey, Louise looked happy and healthy, noting she had not needed any more hospital dashes since last year.
On the photo she wrote: “We’re celebrating one year with no emergency surgeries and no hospital admissions and what a DIFFERENCE a year can make.
“A note for anyone currently in the trenches, if you’re struggling this Winter, remember: the hardest seasons shape the strongest souls.”
A second photo shows Louise looking frail as she posed in her underwear in the bedroom mirror, adding: “One year ago I had to start my journey back to health AGAIN. For the 4th time. But I did it. Don’t mistake your current struggle for a permanent state. If I can do it you can too.”
Louise later extended the message in a lengthy caption, encouraging others to stay strong in the face of any hardship.
“What a difference a year can make, feeling proud x100. Wherever you are mentally, physically, emotionally – HOLD TIGHT!!!” she wrote, adding she was “celebrating health”.
“I shared one of my hopeful messages in the condensation on my bathroom window the other morning and so many of you jumped in to reply,” she added.
“So after A LOT of hesitation I felt like I should share this post (and a picture that might have me barred) because it might help someone on a cold or sad Sunday night.”
“First things first, I want you to know that if you’re struggling right now you’re not alone,” she wrote. “I know a lot of people that are.
“Breaks ups, grief, financial struggles, trauma, mental health disorders. This time of the year is tough for me on a personal level and apparently it is for lots of you too.
“Winter is hard. Many moons ago we would have been hiding/hibernating. Am I right?
“But now we are expected to push on. We are expected to live busy, fabulous, rub it in your face levels of success kinds of lives. ALL YEAR ROUND.”
“Well, I need you to know that societal pressures aside, the hardest seasons really do shape the strongest souls,” she continued.
“When you’ve been through something that cracks you open, it makes you discover capabilities you didn’t really know you had. I’ll go as far as to say it’s the ONLY time that this really happens.
“I’ve learnt everything I know in the last 4 years – endurance, courage, the ability to problem-solve, self-protection (+self preservation), knowledge, the ability to let go, and in droves.”
“It’s NOT pleasant. It’s hideous in fact, BUT it is definitely clarifying. I had this strange epiphany a few years ago where I sat bolt upright in bed in the middle of the night, I stared at the ceiling and I knew that I’d already lived my life and that my destiny was predetermined.
“I had this overwhelming feeling that I’d completed life, and that nothing really mattered, nothing was serious and that I could do no right or wrong. Because of course I couldn’t.
“I was sort of irrelevant. Life is a big puzzle, so is this, and there is a time limit, so stop messing and don’t let it play you. It was very liberating.”
“Anyway, I don’t imagine many of you will understand that because it’s weird but I never would have experienced such enlightenment had I not gone through what I had,” Louise continued in the lengthy post, encouraging others to “hang tight for better times and not mistake a current struggle for a permanent state”.
“You will have these beautiful moments too. Your best days haven’t even happened to you yet. sometimes all you can do is play make believe with your future self,” she wrote. “I did that for 24 months post traumatic birth with Leo.”
Adding she hopes people see “her messy life as a hopeful story”, she said: “If you look at this picture of me from a year ago you’ll see that life was VERY different for me back then. (I could and should write a whole post on why people need to stop aspiring to be so thin, but I’ll save that for another lengthy caption).
“That was only a year ago. I was cracked wide open. Well cut open actually . I felt like death. I had to repair. Once again I’ve sought to repair better. I have big fat chinks, but I am much much smarter.”
Adding she now feels “flipping amazing”, she concluded by joking: “I’ll be throwing myself a little party in the bath to celebrate tonight.”
