Raiders’ Pete Carroll Issues Blunt Words to Broncos’ Sean Payton-suong
fter an overtime loss in Week 9 to the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Las Vegas Raiders have a quick turnaround as they’ll face the Denver Broncos on “Thursday Night Football” to start Week 10.
Moreover, the matchup with the Broncos will see Raiders head coach Pete Carroll face a familiar face in Sean Payton, whom he faced several times in the NFC when the Denver head coach was with the New Orleans Saints.
While the playoffs look like an afterthought for the 2-6 Raiders, the Broncos sit atop the AFC West at 7-2. Denver will be the favorite in this contest, but when it comes to divisional games, the records of the two teams really don’t matter, which is what the Silver and Black should be telling itself.
Ahead of the game on November 6, Carroll was asked about what makes facing Payton a challenging task.
“He’s always been a really well-schooled group that he coaches,” Carroll told reporters on November 3
“When you played against him, they always had a real good conscience about running the football. So he’s got a really good mix. We’ve seen him for years utilize his personnel in unique ways that fit their style. There’s nothing about his game that isn’t on point. He’s smart, he’s aggressive, he’s consistent. They take care of the football. They’ve been doing that for a long time. That’s what’s made him consistently successful, I think.”
Brock Bowers Talks Raiders Loss to Jaguars
If the Raiders want a bounce-back win and upset the Broncos, one player who will need to replicate his Week 9 performance will be Brock Bowers. The Las Vegas tight end recorded 12 receptions for 127 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Although Bowers’s performance was outstanding, he didn’t hold back on how it felt to return to the field in a Raiders defeat.
“It’s not a great feeling,” Bowers said postgame (h/t
Geno Smith Is Happy to Have His Favorite Target Back
With Bowers back for the Raiders, quarterback Geno Smith once again had a reliable option over the middle, to
“He’s one of the best players on our team, one of the best players in the NFL,” Geno Smith said postgame (h/t Raiders.com). “He just makes my job so easy; he does everything
“A lot of those catches a lot of guys don’t make. You can just see his impact on the game when he’s out there. He’s such a dynamic player. At one point, they were double-teaming him, triple-teaming him trying to stop him and that just opens the field for the rest of the guys.”

Rylie, 27, and Katherine, 23, had been thrilling fans with their on-screen romance for weeks.
But on Thursday, Rylie was booted out of the house in the show's live eviction.
And now that controversial and "creepy" Rylie is out of the picture, fans are saying Katherine will finally have to play the game.
This has seemingly dawned on Katherine too, with her seen breaking down in tears on in the most recent episode of the hit reality series.
In a video of her in the diary room, Katherine sobbed as she confessed: "I don’t get how him being gone is good for anybody.
"I don't get why they did that," she said, getting even more emotional.
KATHERINE'S FEAR
She then said, "Game-wise, I knew he would always protect me, and I don't have that anymore.
"I'm just not gonna have like, any peace.
"I have to be on my toes constantly now."
Katherine concluded, "I have five people who I want outta here. And if I could nominate them all at the same time, I would."
Elsewhere in the episode, she made a comment about Rachel only being on the show for the money.
'WELCOME TO BIG BROTHER, KATHERINE'
Responding to her comment, one person said on X, "Oh, so now Katherine wants to play Big Brother now that goofy Rylie's gone.
"Girl. No more hiding out with Rylie to float to the jury.
"I hope Vince puts Katherine up. Let her really (finally) play the game. If you like Rachel or not, at least she's been playing the game."
Someone else said, "Katherine mad bc she now has to play Big Brother."
While another wrote, "Welcome to Big Brother Katherine.."
A fourth added, "Katherine mad she actually has to play Big Brother this many weeks in…."
While a fifth penned, "What the f**k is Katherine talking about??? Like girl wake up and play big brother… you talking about dumb relationship sh*t."
And a sixth said, "Katherine does not even want to play Big Brother. Lol. So, she has not right to complain about anything Vince is doing. Lol."
KATHERINE AND RYLIE'S CONNECTION
When Rylie was booted out of the Big Brother house last week, he sat down with show host Julie Suzanne Chen Moonve for his exit interview.
While chatting with Julie, Rylie got quizzed about his connection with Katherine.
"What is it about you that drew you to her?" Julie asked.
"Her smile. The way she actually cares. Where her heart is. She's absolutely real and I love that about her," Rylie gushed.
Rylie went on to say how she makes him feel like the "only man in this whole entire world".
"You fell hard and fast for her, and you even told her you plan on marrying her," Julie said.
Rylie replied, "Yeah, I do. I did say that. I can't believe y'all heard that."
He was seemingly stunned that viewers had heard his comments despite being aware he has camera on him 24/7 and has a microphone attached to his clothing.
'RED FLAG BEHAVIOR'
The comments referred to a live stream from last week where Rylie said to Katherine, "I'm being with you outside of this, whether you like it or not."
Katherine then asked, "What if we break up in here?"
"We're not going to," Riley responded.
He later said, "I'm gonna marry you after this."
Katherine said, "Okay."
"I get to wake up next to you forever," he said.
After the clip of Rylie vowing to marry Katherine did the rounds on social media, fans said it was a "creepy" moment with many even begging for him to be removed.
Sharing the video on TikTok, the original poster said in the caption, "Riley needs to be kicked out... Creeeeeeeeepy."
Commenting on the video, one person said, "He does nothing but repeat himself all day. Does he know anything about her or just that he loves her."
A third said that it was "red flag behavior," adding, "the producers should be stepping in at this point because this is not okay..."
