‘No, no, no – I’m not putting that out there…’: Big Brother’s AJ Odudu left stunned after audience member makes shocking on-air comment — gasps echo through the studio as viewers call it ‘completely unacceptable’ and demand apology for live TV blunder… - suong
BIG BROTHER’S AJ Odudu was left gobsmacked after an audience member made a jaw-dropping comment live on air.
The TV host, 37, was on Late & Live duties yesterday when conversation turned to controversial housemate Caroline Monk.
Caroline had been emotional in last night’s episode after Teja received a call from home where her mum warned her to be wary of the 56 year-old PR exec.
On the spin-off show, AJ asked the audience whether they had any sympathy for Caroline – but one member of the crowd gave shocking answer that left the host stunned.
The opionated BB fan in the front row said: “Her parents are going to die next week so she needs to see them before that.”
Gasps were heard from the audience, who appeared audibly horrified by the remark.
AJ quickly responded: “No, no, no – I’m not putting that out there.”
She then walked away and moved on to chat to another audience member.
Viewers at home appeared equally as shocked by the comment made on the live show.
Pop culture account Super TV posted a screen recording of the footage on X as it aired.
They wrote: “THEY DID NOT JUST SAY THAT [skull emoji and crying emoji]”.
Viewers slammed the audience member’s comment, which many agreed went too far.
One wrote: “I dont like caroline, but no amount of hate i have for her justifies anyone saying that”.
Another replied: “I was also in the studio audience tonight and honestly we all gasped – and it was much louder than broadcast.
“Genuinely thought we’d misheard but obviously not. Completely unacceptable.
“This is definitely not the view of the wider audience and I’m sorry that this was said”.
Caroline has been a controversial housemate in this year’s civilian series, getting into a string of rows, rule breaks and offensive comments.
In last night’s episode, she was punished for yet another rule break, after discussing nominations with fellow housemates Sam and Nancy.
The trio were all sent to jail and lost their entire collection of eyeball currency, with Caroline additionally reprimanded in front of housemates after trying to downplay the rule break to Big Brother.
She later became emotional after housemates were shown Teja’s call from home on the big screen, where her mum told the 18-year-old to be wary of Caroline and that she’s “not your friend”.
In a previous incident, Caroline misgendered former housemate Zelah, which left her co-stars horrified and saw her receive a formal warning from Big Brother.
The star appeared to make transphobic remarks in a moment which saw her isolated from the house.
Offering up a judgment, Big Brother said to her: “Caroline, Big Brother thinks that your language in these instances was offensive and unacceptable and cannot permit you to use language in a way that could cause offence to your fellow Housemates and the viewing public.”
Caroline later landed in another row after moaning about eating halal meat.
