Denise famously starred on ITV’s Benidorm as Scary Mary

The star has told The Sun about a new show she is starring in that is filmed in the famous Spanish resort
It comes as former Corrie actress Denise has announced she plans to ramp up her acting career as Loose Women prepares to dramatically cut the number of episodes next year.
The ITV daytime show, which Denise has starred on for 20 years, will air for only 30 weeks from next year as part of ITV budget cuts.
The daytime talk show will also lose its live studio audience and guests.
Speaking at the Attitude Awards, Denise said: “Death In Benidorm is perfect for me as I don’t want to do the same show all the time. I’m going back to the theatre next year.
“I’m going to concentrate more on my acting now. I’m going back to what I do best – my second act.”
Asked about Loose Women she added: “Yes, I’ll still do that too.”
Death In Benidorm was announced earlier this year, with Four Weddings and a Funeral star John Hannah revealed to be leading the cast just last week.
The new series will air on Channel 5, and follows a detective called Dennis (played by John) who has to investigate mysterious deaths in the Spanish resort.
It’s not yet known what part Denise will play in the new series, but it will be a welcome return for her to Benidorm.
The actress famously played Scary Mary in the smash hit ITV show, Benidorm.
Denise appeared in just one episode, but will always be remembered for the hilarious role.
On the famous show – which is strongly tipped to return to screens for a reboot – she was a debt collector who was brought in to get money back from Madge.
Denise also starred alongside her ex-husband Tim Healy on Benidorm.
She previously teased that she would like to return to the show, sending fans into the meltdown.
It came after Rylan Clark posted a pic of the Benidorm cast, and Denise wrote: “What about Scary Mary?”
Denise might be well known for Loose Women, but she has also enjoyed an incredible acting career.
She shot to fame alongside Robson Green and Jerome Flyn in Soldier, Soldier, before landing the huge part of Natalie Barnes in Coronation Street in the late 90s.
She left the soap in 2000 but has gone on to star in numerous rival shows including Waterloo Road, EastEnders, Hollyoaks, and Emmerdale.

Olivia Attwood trolled for spending £13k on ‘huge obnoxious Chanel bag’ husband Brad said was ‘ugliest he’d ngocc

And Olivia Attwood isn’t afraid of shelling out on stylish pieces to add to her wardrobe – even if they’re on the pricey side.

But her taste level sometimes raises eyebrows with husband Bradley Dack, as she found with her latest Chanel purchase.
Olivia took to her TikTok page to debut her new buy – a huge quilted bag in a bright gold hue.
In the video, she explained that she’d fallen in love with the XXL flap bag in the burgundy, but had been “holding out for another colour”.
So when she saw the bag in the metallic shade, she knew she had to purchase it – despite the fact it had a £13.8k price tag.

“This is really gonna divide the room,” she said, as she insisted she wanted to know “what you think of this”.
Olivia also added a caveat, as she pointed out that “gold and silver metallics at Chanel are extremely rare”.
She then pulled out the bag in question from its dust bag, as she grinned and called it “so obnoxious”.
And she said that her other half, footballer Bradley, “hates” the accessory, calling it “the ugliest bag he’s ever seen”.

Olivia said that the huge bag is “really soft” and is intended as an airport bag, as it has a section on the bag that can be used to secure it to a suitcase.
However, she’s not intending to limit its use to travel times, and will instead “use it every day”.

She then removed her black leather jacket to show the bag as she would wear it, with “no make-up, no hair” and in a scruffy tracksuit.
“But like, hi, here’s a super rare piece from Chanel and it’s huge, it’s obnoxious and it’s in your face,” she said.
She then encouraged people to have their say on whether the bag was “iconic or idiotic”.
And her fans seized the opportunity to weigh in, with many insisting the bag looks a lot cheaper than it actually is.
“It’s giving SHEIN,” one wrote.
“Too tacky for Chanel,” another added.
