‘I just feel like I’m doing it all wrong…’: Love Island’s Montana Brown admits she’s at a loss after three-year-old son starts biting his baby sister — as fans rush to comfort the mum-of-two and compare her dilemma to Molly-Mae’s parenting drama… - suong
MONTANA Brown has been left stuck on what to do after her three-year-old son started biting his baby sister.
The former Love Island star is a mum of two – son Jude and nine-month-old daughter Miley – with fiancé Mark O’Connor.
And in a video on her TikTok page, Montana admitted she’s found herself in the midst of a parenting dilemma, as she asked for advice on how to deal with it.
“This morning Jude bit Miley and this is like the second time, maybe even third time this has happened,” she began.
“And I feel like whenever he does it I’m knocked for six, like I actually don’t even know what to do.”
She went on to explain exactly what Jude does – pretends to kiss his sister on the leg before biting her a “little bit”, causing her to cry.
Montana then told Jude it was “really mean” and showed him the bite mark on his sister’s leg, but admitted: “I just feel like I’m doing it all wrong”.
“He doesn’t want to apologise and I feel like I’m then shaming him but he doesn’t get it,” she sighed.
“So if anyone’s got any tips, that’d be great.”
“Lord help,” Montana captioned her video.
And people were quick to comment on the video, with many comparing the situation to the one Molly-Mae Hague recently found herself in – when daughter Bambi listed all the friends she was planning to bite.
“Bambi has been recruiting,” one joked.
“Hit up MM and get Bambi to bite him back see what it feels like,” another added.
“I’m pretty sure Molly Mae could help here,” a third wrote.
While others shared their best tips and advice for dealing with a biting situation.
“It’s completely normal at his age and also when there’s a younger sibling,” one wrote.
“Instead of showing him what he’s done, you could try saying ‘we don’t bite’ firmly.
“The bigger the reaction the more likely they’ll keep doing it, it’s a quick way to get your full attention.”
“There’s a time and place for a proper telling off (with explanations) and hurting his sister is it,” another added.
“He has to understand you’re disappointed with him for it.
“This all feels massive for you now when you’re in it, but honestly most kids go through this.
“Try not to worry too much, you’re doing an awesome job.”
“Exactly the same boat as you,” a third said.
“It’s so hard to know how to deal with it properly!
“I’ve tried the gentle parenting approach and I’ve tried being firm with a time out, let’s hope no more. Poor baby girls.”
