‘RHOP’ alum Nneka Ihim is nearly blown off balcony as Hurricane Melissa pummels Jamaica tram

“Real Housewives of Potomac” alum Nneka Ihim battled Hurricane Melissa from a balcony while giving fans a wind-whipped update.
Ihim — who is vacationing in Montego Bay — took to Instagram on Tuesday in a black Alo crop top and matching shorts as wind gusts pummeled her.
“Hey guys, I’m just doing a quick follow-up,” she shared while standing on a hotel balcony, adding that “a lot of people have been messaging me, asking me how and why am I still in Jamaica.”
Ihim went on to explain that when she “heard that the storm was coming,” she and her party “were trying to exit as soon as possible, but the country of Jamaica closed the airport.”

“So not the airline, not American Airlines, not United Airlines, not Delta. The country closed the airports two days ago,” she added as she gripped the balcony’s railing.
“The skies were clear, the beach water was blue, the weather was perfect,” Ihim divulged.
“It’s been perfect for the past two days. So we still don’t even know why the airport was closed because the weather was great for flying.”
Ihim shared that the hotel and resort she’d been staying at had “been very accommodating.”

“They’ve done their best to take care of us and accommodate us, and they’re in very good spirits,” Ihim said.
“They’re playing music, they’re playing games and trying to keep us distracted from what’s going on outside, but I’m not here by choice.”
Ihim — who appeared on the Bravo series during Season 8 between 2023 and 2024 — said the resort had done “their best to keep food and water available for us.”
Gripping her athletic visor as the hurricane-force winds continued, the Bravolebrity said, “The country closed the airport, so I’m hoping to leave by Thursday. Stay tuned for more updates.”

Fellow “RHOP” alum Candiace Dillard Bassett weighed in with a supportive comment.
“Thank God the resort is being accommodating! Praying for your safe return!!!!!” she wrote.
Others were alarmed to see Ihim standing outside in such volatile weather. “Nneka please go inside ” urged one follower, while another wrote, “Girl get inside!”

“Pls pack ur bags & head home ” a third remarked, with a fourth chiming in, “Omg stay safe sis .”
Prior to the storm, on Saturday, Ihim took to Instagram to share a sweet vacation photo with baby Noah, whom she welcomed with husband Dr. Ikenna Ihim in May.
“Vacationing with my honey is my new favorite hobby ♥️” Nneka wrote alongside a beach pic of herself holding her baby while rocking a bikini.
