The former Geordie Shore star, 37, is currently putting her all into training with her dance partner Kai Widdrington in order to impress the judges every Saturday night
'I’ve been wanting to do it for years but nobody wanted to speak to me.... But when I got the call, I was shocked. I felt really honoured. I had a little cry.'
Vicky previously chatted to the Mail on Sunday about the commitment of the competition as she admitted Ercan was having to be 'patient' with her,
She said: 'We've been together for nearly ten years and we have a really healthy relationship in every aspect. But it's just so hard.'
'You're so exhausted, you're training for many hours a day. I'm still working outside of this. I'm podcasting, doing all my social bits, I have just launched a clothing collection. Things are full on.'
She went on: 'So after a full day doing the Charleston you don't fancy going home and doing the mattress Mambo.
'He's [Ercan's] having to be a little bit patient with us at the minute. I think he's potentially one of the only people in my inner circle, who's hoping I'm getting booted out.'
The pair got engaged in 2022, before they got married in front of the cameras last year for a Channel 4 documentary titled My Big Fat Geordie Wedding.
Meanwhile Vicky is determined to take Strictly seriously, she added: 'I want to do well. I want to prove Shirley right. But every week I just feel so out of my depth.

'I could cry when I say that out loud. I know I am out of my comfort zone and everything, but I never expected to be this scared all the time. And it's quite exhausting being this scared.'
Vicky fought back tears during an emotional episode of Strictly on Saturday as she reflected on 'losing her way in the industry'.
For Icons Week, the TV personality chose to perform to
Vicky, who rose to fame on MTV show
She explained how the track was about 'not letting the past define you,' after previously admitting she hated the fact she became known for sleeping with her exes on TV.
Before taking to the floor, she explained: 'Cheryl Cole is an icon to me. She’s a working class girl from Newcastle.
'She has had her ups and downs, her grazed knees. I just feel like I can relate to a lot of that.'
The TV personality chose to perform to Cheryl's Fight For This Love for Icons Week and was surprised by the singer herself in a sweet video message
She continued: 'I had a lovely childhood I think. It wasn’t until I got a bit older that I sort of lost my way a bit.
'I first started out in this industry at about 21. I made some bad decisions. I just think at that age I didn't have the tools to navigate the space I was in.
'Now, I do my best to be a better version of myself, someone I can look in the mirror and be proud of.
'I’m doing this incredible show, when I look in the audience and see my mum and dads faces and my sisters face, it's worth it.
'What I’ve learnt about myself is that with determination and a little bit of self belief you can achieve stuff.'
Speaking of her song choice, Vicky added: 'Fight For This Love is an important song to be because its about the comeback being better than the set back.
'You can change the narrative, you can be who you want to be. It’s about not letting the past define you.
'I worked on myself and now I’m here, I’m finally becoming a woman that I am proud of.'
