‘I promise I’m not upset…’ Strictly’s Ellie Goldstein breaks her silence after fans voice concern over ‘teary’ display on live show… model and actress reveals the real reason behind emotional moment — and insists she’s ‘loving every single minute’… - suong
STRICTLY'S Ellie Goldstein has broken her silence amid fan concern as she shared the real reason for her 'teary' display.
The model, actress and author sparked concern among some Strictly viewers during Saturday night's first live show when she was seen being supported by professional dancers Dianne Buswell, Karen Hauer and celebrity contestant Harry Aikines-Aryeetey.

This was despite the fact her Cha Cha with pro partner Vito Coppola had gone down a storm with the judges.
However, Ellie has now insisted she wasn't upset, sharing her joy at being on the BBC One show on her Instagram on Sunday.
Alongside a picture of her dancing in her metallic tassled dress, she wrote: "Thank you all so much for the incredible love and support!
I’m over the moon that so many of you enjoyed watching me dance last night — I’m honestly having the time of my life. This really is a dream come true!
"I feel so lucky to be surrounded by the most amazing support team: my wonderful family, my agents, the whole Strictly crew, and of course my incredible dance partner Vito. I couldn’t ask for better."
Ellie continued: "Dancing on this stage makes me feel strong, sassy, confident, and completely myself — I’m loving every single minute!
"Just a little note: sometimes my eyes get watery after a long day — I promise I’m not upset! I’m doing so well and feeling SO happy, and your concern truly means the world."
She concluded with her trademark cheekiness: "And one more thing — yes, I have Down syndrome, but it doesn’t define me. Not even close. It’s actually the least interesting thing about me."
Over the past decade, Ellie has appeared in campaigns for big brands like Nike, Vodafone, Primark and Superdrug.
She gained global attention after being the first model with Down's Syndrome to appear in a Gucci campaign in 2020.
During Strictly's live show last night, Ellie and her professional dance partner Vito performed the cha cha to Yes, And? by Ariana Grande.
All four judges praised their first dance and Anton told Ellie she was a joy.
Craig Revel Horwood told her the routine was "flat footed" but praised her "natural rhythm."
Head judge Shirley Ballas even gave Ellie a fan, branded with 'fabulous', after the performance.
The energetic pair then received four points each from Craig, Motsi Mabuse and Shirley and a five from Anton Du Beke giving them a fabulous 17 points.

‘Don’t run away… don’t run away…’ Awkward scenes on MAFS UK as groom Divarni serenades new bride Julia-Ruth with cringeworthy original song… her strained smile says it all as viewers beg her to flee while the couple’s rocky romance takes yet another bizarre turn… - suong

A MARRIED At First Sight UK bride was serenaded with an original song by her new husband, but it went down like a sinking ship.
On tonight's episode of MAFS UK the show revisited newly-weds Divarni and Julia-Ruth.

The couple got off to an extremely rocky beginning, with Julia-Ruth refusing to even fall asleep in the same room as her husband after finding out about his promiscuous past.
After spending the day apart to cool off, Divarni waited for his new wife to show up to dinner on the patio.
Julia-Ruth eventually arrived and looked absolutely stunning in a wine coloured dress with her natural hair styled to perfection.
Divani donned a suit for the occasion too, a grey number with black buttons, and he quickly apologised for his behaviour the previous day.
The conversation seemed to go well, with Divarni saying the pair are still "figuring out each other", which made Julia-Ruth warmly smile.
But when Divarni lead his wife over to a keyboard the moment was less of a romantic one and more of an awkward one.
"I have one other surprise for you, but it is outside," he said.
Julia-Ruth was led to the keyboard with her eyes closed, unsure of what was about to unfold.
"Awww a keyboard, you've got the keys," she said, smiling slightly uncomfortably.
"I've been writing this for a while," said Divarni.
"It's just like a little introduction to us."
"Okay," is all Julia-Ruth replied.
To follow was a short, repetitive song where most of the lyrics were Divarni telling Julia-Ruth not to run away.
It left a strange feeling in the air that clearly didn't sit well with his bride, or the viewers at home.
"I think poor Divarni got song writing block after "don't run away" lol," said one user over on X.
"Writing for some time? It had 3 words in it," and "I think she might run away," shared others.
One user found the sentiment of the entire thing to be too much, even though the song was a flop.
"Sorry divarni but I would run away if you got your keyboard out on the second day of honeymoon when I’ve known you a day."
Once Divarni's song had come to a close, Julia-Ruth said: "Beautiful," and clapped, giving him a hug.
"It was all for you," he responded.
Only time can tell how their relationship goes from here.
MAFS UK is available for viewing on Channel 4.
