The Essex businessman, 34, who found fame after appearing on Lord Sugar's The Apprentice, has become the most controversial signing on Strictly this year, with his appearance being overshadowed by his revelation that he cheated on wife Sinead.
Thomas confessed to Daily Mail's Katie Hind this week that the cheating scandal has been 'awful for my poor wife to read it all' as he came clean on the affair.
Taking to her Instagram Amy shared clips from her BBC documentary on her cancer battle, which also saw her deal with negative comments, alongside a lengthy caption.
She penned: 'As we step into a new week, let’s choose to be kind, always'
'I was raised to treat others the way I’d want to be treated, and to never judge a book by its cover. We never really know what someone else is going through. But what I do know is how upsetting it can be to be on the receiving end of negative comments'.
She continued: 'I’m using my platform to hopefully help spread the right messages. Words matter! Online and offline. A cruel comment might take seconds to type, but its impact can last much longer'.
'I remember a coach once telling me, it’s like a nail hammered into wood, even if you remove it, the mark will always be there. There are so many young people online today please be the kind of role models they need'.
Before adding: 'Let’s be the reason someone smiles, not struggles. Also I can’t believe it’s two years exact today I was sat in the hospital bed showing these messages to my lovely nurse. Welsh love alway'.

After making her return to Strictly in September 2024 with JLS star JB Gill, Amy was forced to withdraw on week six due to a foot injury.
She recently opened up about the 'pressure' she put on herself to return before admitting she hadn't properly 'accepted' everything after her cancer treatment.
She told The Mirror: 'Last year it was a lot of emotions, excitement but I think also pressure that I had put on myself.
'I wasn't confident in myself really deep down, I think I was still trying to accept everything. I didn't look the same, with my hair growing back, you could see a difference in me.'
Meanwhile Thomas put on a brave face as he hit the dance floor with Amy on Saturday night, with his wife Sinead no where in sight to support.

Meanwhile Thomas took to Instagram on Monday after a gym session
The TV star, who performed the Paso Doble and received 16 points from the judges, said: 'I was scared at the start, Amy has been a great teacher. She's fantastic.'
Critics on X branded Thomas' performance 'the worst', while other fans felt Thomas 'did well' considering it was a 'difficult' dance for a beginner like himself.
His political leanings have also sparked backlash across social media after he was pictured attending a barbecue hosted by US President
Thomas has drawn strong criticism for X posts saying it is 'not far-right' to be 'flying your flag and loving your country', and complaining 'it ain't safe out there any more' in London, saying the city is 'hostile' and 'tense'.
Insiders revealed that Strictly bosses have been left in a 'tricky' situation regarding his social media posts.
'He's not BBC staff so there is nothing that can be done about his social media posts other than ask his management to have a gentle word, and they might not want to,' the source has explained.
The insider added though that it's unlikely Thomas will be voted out of the hit BBC show early, 'because the public tends to like controversial figures, at least at the start.'
They added that Strictly's decision to pair him with one of the show's favourite pro dancers will be beneficial.
'The feeling is he's unlikely to be among the first to go, and could actually stay in for quite a stretch. Amy has a lot of love behind her and that is sure to help him,' the insider told
Loose Women's Nadia Sawalha Makes VERY Catty Remark About Taylor Swift's Engagement Ring from Travis Kelce – Splits ITV Panel trucc

Nadia Sawalha did not hold back on Loose Women today as she took a very catty swipe at Taylor Swift's dazzling engagement ring from Travis Kelce.
Host Kaye Adams, 62, was leading the lunchtime chat show with Nadia, 60, Kelle Bryan, 50, and Jane Moore, 63, when the conversation turned to Taylor's big news.
'Taylor Swift has announced that she is engaged to Travis Kelce,' Kaye told viewers.
'The couple shared the news on Instagram yesterday which has so far been liked 27 million times.'
She added: 'It's been reported that Travis worked with a designer to create the ring which as we can see is rather lovely.'
But Nadia was not convinced. Cutting in, she asked sharply: 'Is it?'

The audience responded with giggles as Nadia squinted at the screen before joking about needing to put her glasses on.
Kaye teased: 'Are you squinting at it, Nadia?'
At this point Jane joined in, also unimpressed with the ring. 'What's the design?' she asked. 'Put a great big rock on a ring?'
Kaye, taken aback by the pair's blunt assessment, asked in mock disbelief: 'Are you not impressed, girls?'
The women quickly conceded that the ring was 'beautiful,' but Jane refused to sugar-coat her view.
'I don't understand what the "design" element is because it's just a great big diamond on a ring,' she insisted.
Elsewhere on the programme, McFly drummer Harry Judd and his wife Izzy made a guest appearance where they discussed all things domestic.
They shared a glimpse into their home life, with Harry revealing he does the washing, cooking and hoovering, while his wife Izzy manages the children and life admin.
Panellist Jane Moore (pictured), 63, also joined in the discussion, unimpressed with the ring
Taylor and Travis announced their engagement on social media with a series of professional photos
‘Izzy is so organised and she gets the kids sorted,’ he said. ‘I’m not good with washing and laundry, I like gardening.’
Dishing out some advice for new husbands, he said: ‘Don’t expect a congratulations for unstacking the dishwasher.
‘Because early on I used to be like “Hey, I don’t know if you noticed but I’ve just unstacked the dishwasher”’
Harry also disclosed details of the ‘healthy competition’ between rival bands Busted and McFly, although the couple admitted their children are partial to a Busted tune.
It comes as Linda Robson revealed the real reason for ITV's Loose Women change amid fears that the show could be axed.
It was revealed back in May the show has been axed for half the year and Lorraine's runtime has been slashed by 30 minutes, as Daytime bosses announced cuts with job losses in excess of 220.
According to insiders, once ITV's budget cuts come into effect in January, Loose Women will no longer have A-list guests in the studio, and the broadcast is planned to only consist of the panel debating newsworthy topics from the week.
ITV also previously announced that Loose Women and Lorraine will only air on a seasonal basis for 30 weeks a year.

And now regular show panelist, Linda, 67, has opened up about the upcoming cost-cutting changes.
She told The Sun: 'Well, you just have to stay positive, really, don't, ya?,'
'I think it'd be very sad if it got cancelled because of all the people that are watching at home, especially like older people and that was sitting down, looking forward to watching it every day.'
And while there are huge changes to the show, such as the scrapping of a live audience, Linda expressed her hopes for the show to return to its former glory in the new year.
The star explained: 'A lot of them have been doing it for 25 years now, so, but hopefully, maybe, like in the new year, they'll be able to get the audience back and carry on as normal.'
It was previously reported that bosses were considering axing celebrity guests on the long-running show.
Instead, each live show will apparently consist of the panel debating newsworthy topics from the week.
Recently Loose lady Janet Street-Porter revealed which stars are at risk from brutal cost-saving cuts by ITV - and which panelists are safe.
The 78-year-old has shed light on the reality behind the looming cuts proposed by the broadcaster, which are set to impact several daytime shows.
Janet appears certain that the 'older' Loose Women stars are not likely to be cut, given they appeal more directly to the show's target demographic.
Loose Women airs weekdays on ITV1 from 12:30pm and is available to stream on ITVX.
