‘Execution… execution…’ – Jalen Hurts’ brutally honest one-word verdict after Eagles survive near-collapse against Buccaneers… as the quarterback admits even at 4-0, “you’re still trying to elevate” amid fears Philly’s unbeaten run is paper thin - suong
The Philadelphia Eagles managed to survive a second-half comeback by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday to secure a 31-25 victory in South Florida in Week 4.
The team led 24-6 at half, after a pair of touchdown receptions to tight end, Dallas Goedert helped them take a substantial hold on the game against the formerly 3-0 leaders of the NFC South.
However, two third-quarter 70+ yard TDs from quarterback, Baker Mayfield to rookie, Emeka Egbuka and second year running back, Bucky Irving, helped them come within one score of Philadelphia, before an interception and subsequent turnover on downs ensured the Eagles flew back up to the North East victorious.
Speaking after the match, quarterback Jalen Hurts coming off a 2 touchdown day emphasized what he believed was the key difference in the team’s play in the first and second half – execution.
Jalen Hurts Speaks Out After Tale-Of-Two-Halves Victory
“Jalen Hurts on what worked in the first half: “It’s just about execution.” The Athletic’s Zach Berman wrote, quoting Hurts after the game.
“Jalen Hurts on what didn’t work in the second half: “Execution.”
The former Super Bowl MVP also shared his broader thoughts on the team’s situation in the league, and how they are looking to keep improving amid a 4-0 start to the season.
“I think we’re in a good place now.” Hurts said to the media on Sunday afternoon post-game. “We have opportunity for us. We’re looking at the standard of execution. You guys can look at the record and be a hound for negativity in some regard, but regardless where you are this early in the season, you’re still trying to elevate and play to a standard and play to a standard of execution.”
Eagles Looking To Keep Foot On The Gas Despite 4-0 Start
Although Philadelphia remain one of just two unbeaten teams in the NFL – alongside the Buffalo Bills – and the only 1.00 franchise in the NFC, the wins have hardly been flawless to say the least.
A close opener, four-point opener against the Micah Parsons-less Dallas Cowboys was followed by a tight three-point victory against reigning AFC Champions, the Kansas City Chiefs, in a rematch of Super Bowl LIX this past February.
And whilst both of the Eagles’ next wins have been by a 6+ margin, neither have looked totally convincing. But, in fairness to Philly, neither the Rams nor the Bucs are easy outs by any means.
Indeed, Tampa Bay have historically been the Eagles’ bogey team: prior to Sunday’s win, Philadelphia has gone 1-6 in their past seven games against the Buccaneers, going back a decade to November 2015.
The Eagles have been on the receiving aim of “boring” claims, and Hurts has been criticized for the team’s lack of volume in the passing offense.
Both of accusations have validity; Philadelphia’s run-heavy play-style is not always the most pleasing to the line, and Hurts has only managed 200+ passing yards in one of his four bouts this season to date.
But, at the end of the day, the Eagles are 4-0 – and that is about all that matters, for now.
Craig Conover Opens Up on Paige Split and Hidden Issues, Reveals “Sex Life” Confessions & Ring Request tram

Craig Conover revealed why he hid his breakup from Paige DeSorbo, and he also claimed they had a “great sex life,” and she asked him to “buy her a ring.” Meanwhile, Shep Rose shared his belief that Craig wasn’t “driving this bus,” and Austen Kroll hinted at “cracks” in their relationship.
Around Thanksgiving of last year, Paige broke up with the Southern Charm star. When she publicly announced it in late December, she seemed to suggest that it just happened, though she later revealed the true timeline, hinting that he hadn’t wanted to go public.
In the recent season finale, cameras picked back up after the split, and Craig recalled the breakup in a scene with Shep and Austen.
“Paige and I had a great Thanksgiving together,” he said, via Bravo TV. “Everything was normal at her parents’, like our chemistry and everything. Then, a couple of weeks later she called me and was like, ‘We gotta talk.'”
Craig then “knew” that Paige was going to break up with him, though he couldn’t really believe it.
“It was really calm,” he said. “She’s like, ‘I need to like find myself’ and she’s like, ‘I have to take control of my life again, and we need to break up.'”
Afterward, according to Craig, Shep and “specifically” Austen were the “only people [he] wanted to tell.”
“The truth is, I couldn’t let it get out yet, and … it was a bummer because I was like, ‘I don’t know if I can tell Austen and him not say something,'” Craig claimed. “I wasn’t gonna f–king say anything ’cause I didn’t want it to be real.”
He also indicated that he was waiting for Paige to be the one who shared it publicly. But Craig alleged that he flew to NYC before last summer to design a ring because she asked him to “buy her a ring.”
“Then she was like, ‘Actually, hold off,'” said Craig. “Looking back, maybe that was her starting to panic or freak out.”
Craig claimed that he offered to relocate to NYC “like she asked me,” and he consented to raising their future children in Manhattan. “And she’s like, ‘You will resent me forever if you have to live this life in New York.'”
He said their love is “so rare,” so he struggles to make sense of their split and the idea of finding love again.
“We were best friends, we loved each other, we had a great sex life, we just checked so many boxes that you’re like … ‘How are we giving this up?'” he stated. “It’s weird to, like, mourn someone that’s still alive.”
Before Craig arrived in the scene, Shep explained that Rodrigo Reyes messaged him with news of the breakup after seeing it online.
“I just feel bad for the guy,” said Shep to Austen. “It doesn’t sound like he was driving this bus.”
Austen replied, “I think that there were cracks, but I think that Craig was like, not enough to terminate [the] relationship.”
