STRICTLY bosses decided to share the dance-off deciding vote among all the judges to protect Shirley Ballas from horror trolls — and “spread the hate” across the panel.
Head judge Shirley, 65, used to decide which couple to save when the panel of four were split over the bottom two pairs.
But Saturday’s show revealed the power will now rest with a different judge each week.
We can reveal that execs made the change after Shirley begged for help over abuse about unpopular opinions.
She has been accused of sexism, racism and even had death threats — and almost quit in 2022 over concerns for her mental health.

Announcing the change on Saturday, she said: “For seven years, I have been responsible for one gruelling decision. But that’s about to change.”
