Get ready to deck those halls, because the TOWIE gang are back for another Christmassy rollercoaster - aka The Only Way is Essexmas - and this year, Amy Childs promises it’s going to be full-on festive fun... with the usual Essex drama, of course.
Chatting exclusively to Closer, Amy couldn’t hide her excitement about slipping back into those Christmas jumpers with her reality pals.
‘It’s true, we’re filming the Christmas special. It’s in three weeks time and we’re very excited to get a Christmas special,’ she told us.
‘We got one last year... but this time, there’s going to be loads of Christmas fun, cheer - everything.’
Wondering if this year’s special is set to top last year's drama? Amy’s answer was pretty clear.
‘There’s a lot of drama going on. A lot of fun,’ she insisted before teasing that, while she’s not at the heart of those rows (‘I’m not involved in drama because I’ve got the children and me and Bill are in a happy place…’), fans should expect the unexpected from the TOWIE crew.
She laughed, ‘With TOWIE, there’s always something up their sleeves that no one’s actually ready for.’
And for those wondering if the cast are off to Lapland or somewhere even glitzier this year, Amy revealed, ‘The TOWIE Christmas special will be in the UK.’
Essex, baubles and bust-ups - what more could we want?
And when it comes to her wedding, Amy’s already been open about the guest list - confirming Joe Blackman and Junaid Ahmed aren’t invited - but wedding prep is hardly underway, as she told us, ‘We’ve actually not planned the wedding yet.
'There’s still talks on where we’re going to have it and I think that’s a big thing for me and Bill [Delbosq].’
As for who’ll make the cut? Amy admitted, ‘At the end of the day you stop worrying about the guest list, it’s about me and Bill getting married and that takes over,’ she said before confirming, ‘A lot of the TOWIE cast will be invited.
'I’ve been very open, there’s two people that haven’t been invited - let’s not even talk about that…’
The big day still isn’t in the diary though, as Amy giggled, ‘No prep yet - we’re very lastminute.com! Hopefully it’s next year, but time goes so quick.
'I said to Bill the other day, “It’s October already, we haven’t got long."'
And in true Childs fashion, Amy's Christmas is set to be chaotic - in the best way. Amy told us, ‘Christmas this year will be with all the family. Bill’s got a massive family, I’ve got a massive family, my aunty’s got nine kids so can you imagine - the Childs family has so many children!
‘It’s going to be a big Christmas ahead of us,’ Amy laughed, before revealing that she’s already eyeing a cheeky pre-wedding break.
‘Next year, me and Bill might go to Paris for a couple of days and have a bit of a break from the kids before the wedding.’
We caught up with Amy this month at Paris Fury’s Eternal Collagen launch, where she was already channeling that festive - and bridal - spirit. We’re more than ready for some Essex Christmas chaos.
